Honda value packed cars. Continued
Honda CRV
The Honda CRV is small sized recreational vehicle that has 4-wheel drive, is very durable and one of the highest ranked Hondas for the style category. This 4 x 4 is very popular with women and especially popular with mothers that spend a lot of time driving their kids to activities and school. The CRV is smaller than other 4 x 4s making it the choice of many women but it offers nearly all the features you would want in a recreational 4 wheel drive vehicle with all the value that Honda packs into its other autos.
Consumers rank the Honda CRV at 3.5 out of 5 for nearly every category with styling ranked at 4.5. The design of the CRV creates a roomy interior in a Compact Recreational Vehicle. For instance there is no second gearstick to clutter the interior. From the outside it looks more like a large station wagon and will seat 5 adults comfortably.
The Honda CRV has a smaller transmission than the larger gas-guzzling competitors making it a more economical 4 x 4. The CRV uses a "dual pump" 4 x 4 system, it gives you the four wheel drive only when you need it and reverts to a standard two wheel drive under normal conditions. This 4 x 4 is a better choice for a family vehicle than it is for any serious four wheeling adventures. If you plan to use your recreational vehicle for any kind of challenging off-road adventures you will be disappointed in the CRV.
Honda Prelude
As with all Hondas the Prelude shows great improvement from the first generation Preludes to the most recent. It is considered to be a sporty performance car and it truly is a great vehicle. The downfall of this racy car is that it lacks any real style or personality. Sports coupes are often considered nearly ugly and the Prelude is more of a personal preference than a highly desirable car for its looks. As with most Hondas the interior lacks anything special and should not be considered state of the art.
What the Honda Prelude lacks in style it makes up for in performance. The more current Preludes boast a powerful twin-cam VTEC engine that is as powerful as it sounds when you rev it up. This car handles better than most cars in the same class and is very economical as most other Honda models. They are technological marvels in the automotive industry but don't hold their value as well as other Hondas, maybe "ugly coupes" are just not that desirable.
Nearly all the Preludes are considered roomy and comfortable with all the features and equipment you might look for in a car of this class. The lacks of the sporty styling of other more popular cars make them less expensive to insure. Consumers that have owned a Prelude often upgrade to a newer Prelude every few years but beware that they do depreciate quicker than other Hondas.
Honda S2000
The Honda S2000 is an outstanding piece of engineering and one of the most stylish cars that Honda makes to date. This is the Honda to own if you are an enthusiast and is comparable to the Lotus Esprit V8 GT. Honda has set a new standard in automotive technology with this model.
The various ranking points that consumers look for in cars are mixed with the S2000 where with other Hondas they are al pretty even. The S2000 ranked only about 3 out of 5 for comfort and overall value and only rates a 2 for economy. But people who drive cars like this don't look for comfort and extra money at the gas pump is offset by the performance and handling that deliver all that a car enthusiast really wants.
